Most people do not consider Cheerleading to be a sport. Well, the cheerleaders at HHS think that since we have to follow every guideline as other sports, cheerleading is a sport. We do just as much if not more than the athletes! This year alone, we spent forever decorating our scholls hallways, lockers, and locker rooms for the athletes. We pump the teams and spectators up!
I have participated in cheerleading for the last two years. My Junior year of high school, I was on the Junior Varisty squad. I had a lot of fun because we had the privilege of traveling with the teams. This year, my Senior year, that privilege was taken away due to the schools transportation budget being cut. Everyone was so disappointed. Also, my Senior year, I made the Varsity squad.
